Highly trafficked doorways often require easy thoroughfare and hands free operation, to ensure the doors are closed to protect the working environment. The DMF Traffic doors are an ideal solution for this application, and are an insulating, 2 way swing door, that automatically closes from either direction. Being a 2 way swing operation means the users only need to push through, and the doors have a gentle resistance to allow this.
DMF have supplied these doors to many Australia supermarkets, including Woolworths, Coles and TK Maxx, and these traffic doors have also been exported to locations such as NZ, Fiji, India, UAE and Philippines, for use in commercial kitchens, hypermarkets, hotels and food production facilities.
One of DMF’s major clients in Australia is Woolworths, with doors required for between the selling floor to the stock room area, therefore being very busy doorways. Safety is paramount for the use of these doors, and so safety yellow teardrop bumpers are employed on the stock side, and safety markings on the window surrounds is used to better alert the users of approaching traffic on the other side of the doorway.
The DMF Traffic doors are custom made to size for these applications, and come complete with double glazed clear windows, and high impact resistant “teardrop” bumpers that are designed to cushion the impact of trolleys and pallet jacks, and even forklifts as they push through the doorway. The door blade is 40mm in thickness, and has a tough ABS surface, and insulate core, which results in not only good temperature control but also sound control from one side to the other. The return spring system is completely concealed within the door stile, and has adjustable torque control.
There are other options of DMF Traffic doors which include Vcam return hinges, stainless steel door blades, and even special concealed venetian blinds within the windows for hospital treating rooms.
