DMF have been supplying and installing Swingflex PVC doors and Traffic doors for many years to Woolworths supermarkets. With the growth in online ordering and deliveries, Woolworths have progressed to requiring high speed roll doors in to the order processing areas, and DMF have been manufacturing and installing these to suit, having done over 25 stores. The doors are only small but being high speed in action, still require a high level of safety. These are custom manufactured to size to suit the doorway, and come with 2 x safety beams, and a flexible “non injury” bottom rail in safety yellow. In addition, an inline battery back up unit (UPS) is provided to ensure the door is fully operational in the case of a power loss. Commonly the doors are operated by pushbuttons with automatic closing, but some of the sites require motions sensing operation. Often the installation works are required to minimise interruptions to the store operations, and so this generally means works at night. The DMF team work with the contracted fit out company to best co-ordinate this, resulting is a seamless addition to the Woolworths store operations.
