High speed doors for Sydney waste plant

DMF recently completed a project of installing additional high speed roll doors to a Sydney waste facility tipping area. Three units of Series RL3000E Rapid Roll doors were installed a few years ago and have worked very well under harsh conditions. They were installed to primarily control the waste odours as per the client’s license requirements with the EPA, and earlier this year, they decided to expand their operation’s capacity with extra doors.

The Series RL3000E rapid door is fully custom manufactured in DMF’s Sydney based factory, and boasts a durable design suited for the harsh environments of waste and recycle plants, where wind, dust, and corrosive elements can be detrimental to equipment and operations. The doors open automatically at a controlled speed of 1m/sec, as the tipping truck approaches to tip the domestic waste, and then close to contain the odours. Multiple safety sensors protect the door from damage, and it is important in applications like this, that preventative servicing is maintained to ensure optimal function of the doors. DMF provide this as well, and can supply the standard and custom components very quickly, being the manufacturer.

The waste and recycling, energy to waste and FOGO waste sectors are growing rapidly, and DMF can provide a multitude of rapid roll door solutions to assist in control of the pollutants associated with these plants.
