High speed door for major carpark with graded entrance

DMF were requested to find a solution for high speed access control for a carpark in metro Sydney. The challenge was that the floor had a 400mm sloping grade and less that 700mm headroom available.

The solution was engineered, using an Efaflex SST high speed door model, complete with custom made sloping bottom section, and oval shaped head spiral design.

An increasing issue for building managers, is to improve the security of access points to buildings, specifically the carpark entrance. Carparks and dock areas can be a common access area for burglary or vandalism, and DMF International Pty Ltd, can provide solutions for most applications. With their association with German company Efaflex Gmbh, DMF can provide a variety of high speed security door solutions, that will reduce targeted vandalism and crime. Conventional shutter doors are much slower, and are not really designed to perform hundreds of cycles of operation a day.

This project for a large apartment block near Sydney CBD required some careful design and planning. Able to operate at impressive speeds of nearly 2 m/sec, with auto closing, and complete with full safety sensors, the Efaflex doors is able to operate many hundreds of times a day, providing an effective deterrent to intruders.
