DMF recently completed a project for a large office complex in Canberra, ACT, that entailed the removal of slow, worn sectional garage doors, with high speed security doors. The Efaflex SSN low lintel model was perfect for the application, providing not only speed of over 1.0m/sec, but also a reliability to withstand the hundreds of cycles of operation each day. This door also needed to still provide ventilation, which was achieved using a special door blade of punched aluminium, providing high strength and allowing the vented effect within the carpark to ensure exhaust was removed. the challenge with this application, as is many with carparks, is the low available headroom. The Efaflex SSN high speed door only required less than 400mm head room to fit in, which is a unique feature of this particular design. Activation was by number plate recognition, ensuring a highly secure access control into this important office complex, and full light curatin saftey was supplied as standard.
