The new South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) health and medical research facility is located on North Terrace next to the new Royal Adelaide Hospital site (NRAH) in Adelaide’s west end. This world class medical research facility is a modern and striking new iconic building housing up to 675 researchers encouraging innovation and improvement in health services which should benefit the whole community. SAHMRI required specialised hygienic door solutions to be installed throughout the facility.

Dortek, with whom DMF partner with in Australia, supplied non fire rated and fire rated single action and sliding GRP doors. These seamless doors are hygienic, robust and easy to clean making them ideal for applications such as research laboratories. The GRP is highly resistant to cleaning agents, is light in weight, and resistant to any swelling due to moisture. With assistance from the DMF partner in SA, this project was completed on time, adding finesse to his world  class facility.
