Carpark Solution using EFAFLEX Door
Acton Developments in Canberra are a client that own an exclusive high rise apartment block overlooking Lake Burleigh Griffin. The main carpark entrance had a slow action sectional door that was overworked to do 300 cycles per day. This was excessive to the design and therefore the door suffered numerous breakdowns. DMF were requested to provide a solution.
The Efaflex SST with ventilation panel was offered. The result was a door that could open in a few seconds, and was designed to accommodate high frequency of use.
DMF installed this door, working with our ACT agent, and the resulting maintenance costs have greatly reduced.
The ventilation panel is a pressed aluminium section, allow some air flow to assist in exhaust retraction, and yet does not compromise the security.
A full light curtain safety system was included, and activation of the door was retained by the use of the existing remote control units
One comment by a resident was “ I could pour myself a glass of wine, and sit and watch this door operate all day . . it is that good”
The doors was custom manufactured in Germany to the size required after DMF survey, and with some additional fixing supports, were installed and commissioned to the high satisfaction of the client.
